Cann's Grant Submission to Council

The Sailor Streets, also known as the Cann's Grant group has submitted the following group statement to Council on the 9th June 2010. The basis of the objections to the Willoughby Draft LEP to rezone this area to R3 Medium Residential are as follows:

1. Loss of unique historic significance
2. Increasing transport and access problems
3. Inadequate infrastructure
4. Loss of amenity
5. Lack of commercial viability
6. Availability of more appropriate development sites.

An addendum to the submission is Cathie Tanaka's history of the Cann's Grant and Sailor Streets precinct, reflecting the historical value of the area.
